About Us

Safi Direct is a Luxury Home Accessories Company offering beautiful, original, handmade home accessories sourced from around the world directly to your door.

The birth of Safi Direct was to me, Deborah Lamplugh, a dream come true. The seed was planted 12 months prior, to start a business sourcing beautiful objects from around the world for the home. My vision was crystal clear, but how would I ever get it from anything more than a writing pad full of ideas?

Until, I was looking through the internet for a venue to celebrate my 40th birthday and I came across a boutique hotel which as I viewed each room I realised it was filled with an array of exquisite products all of which reflected the sorts of products that I had always envisaged Safi would sell. The hotel was owned by a renowned interior designer, who has since become a dear friend and assisted me to source a treasure trove of artefacts, antiques and ceramics from a whole host of exciting countries. Safi sources directly from artisans where originality and individuality of each piece are key. We observe the products physically being made and ensure the environment is safe and secure. Following this we then test the products to ensure that quality is maintained at the highest level.

All of our stunning pewter tableware is eco-friendly and 100% recycled & all of our bamboo range is IMO certified guaranteeing that each product has been produced using organic agriculture and eco friendly methods.

We go to great lengths to ensure our carbon foot print is kept to a minimum by transporting products by land and sea rather than air.

My role is to discover sumptuous, unique, handmade products from artisans and talented undiscovered designers from around the globe and sell exclusively through exhibitions and the Safi Direct website.

The Safi Direct Collection is all about sharing and celebrating with friends, for people that adore socialising and entertaining. Whether having tea with friends, a full blown dinner party or alfresco dining with swanky cocktails, you can guarantee that Safi will equip you with that "piece de resistance" not to mention a selection of objects of desire that fit the occasion.

Safi's eclectic products are made from beautiful materials, wonderful designs and rich colours, whether fossil plates made of natural limestone, exquisite silver plated salt and pepper tagines or the fabulously quirky wibberly-wobberly ceramic collection. They all have a personality of their own through blending the old with the new, the classic with the contemporary and the wild with the tame.
